World AIDS Day 2011 Celebrations

Addis Ababa, November 30, 2011 -  the 2011 World AIDS Days, which takes place on December 1st of each year, will be celebrated tomorrow at the Addis Ababa Assembly Hall, under the theme - “Getting to Zero: zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths”,  in the presence of His Excellency, Mr. Girma Woldegiorgis, President of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, His Excellency, Mr. Kuma Demeksa, Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration, His Excellency, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, Minister of Health, other government officials and heads of partner organizations.

This year’s World AIDS Day, as one of the 16th International Conference on AIDS and STIs (ICASA 2011) pre-conference events is set to serve as an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the response against HIV and AIDS.
